blk top KOPE is an independent brand founded in 2019 by Janina Klahold-Terry based in Brooklyn, New York. As a trend forward, gender inclusive street- and athleisurewear brand every piece is handmade to order – it is individually cut, sewn, and embroidered in our studio.

Our passion is the creation of high-quality garments that offer comfort and confidence. Transparency, inclusivity and a sustainable focus on the sourcing, production, and distribution of our clothes define our ethics.

Our mission is to create consciousness for the craftsmanship of clothing and for responsible fashion. We do this through high quality garments in street- and athleisurewear.

We create clothes to build space for sustainable fashion products and practices for the active, trend forward, value-oriented customer. We convey with our garments a feeling of security and well-being along with a traditional sense of New York fashion. We show that clothes are gender inclusive, and we demand and support inclusivity and diversity within the fashion industry. We are committed to continuously improving our work and products through creative thinking and economical practices to keep a high level of quality.
